Dental Emergency Response

It is very likely that at some point in your life, you will be placed in a situation where you need to find an emergency dental clinic. Perhaps you fell over and broke a tooth well after surgery hours, or maybe your tooth ache is simply too painful to bear while waiting for an appointment.

Either way, you will be surprised to find that sourcing a twenty four hour emergency practice is not as difficult as you may have imagined. To begin with, you will need to phone your ordinary dentist's surgery.

If your problem happens to coincide with opening hours, ask the receptionist for the number of the practice's affiliated emergency clinic. If your crisis has occurred in the middle of the night, however, or at a time when there is no secretary on duty to answer the phone, you should find that the answering machine message includes the number you need.

From this point, solving your crisis is simply a matter of calling the number and navigating your way to the premises. At the emergency clinic, you should find a dentist on duty who is capable of dealing with your problem efficiently and effectively.

If for some reason you have been unable to find an emergency dental practitioner, head directly to the emergency room at you local hospital. From there, nurses should be able to direct you to a surgery, and may also be able to supply you with useful painkillers or dressings.
